MI is an abbreviation for Minimal Intervention.
In dentistry, it is often used to mean "do not grind teeth as much as possible".
Teeth are one of the tissues that cannot be regenerated in the living body, and once the teeth are shaved, they cannot be restored. Therefore, it is important to perform MI treatment that basically removes only the cavities and does not grind the teeth unnecessarily.

Injection anesthesia is often required for dentist treatment,
but I think many people dislike this injection because it hurts.

Comprehensive dental treatment is not a one-shot treatment that says "Yes, it's over!" By grinding and packing when cavities are formed.
